Why You Need Super Fans (Not a Million Followers)

Honest truth? Most businesses and creators don’t need a million followers. In fact, I don’t even think you need 100k

What you actually need is Super Fans.

I’m not talking about people who just likes your content and forgets about it or who you are. I mean people who actually resonate with who you are. People who believe what you believe and stand for what you stand for.

For the longest time, I was scared to do this. I avoided taking strong stances because, well… I wanted to be liked. I tried to play it safe. I wanted to be “nice.”

And the result? Sure, people might “like” you. But the reality is, most of them won’t care about your opinions. They won’t respect you enough to listen when it actually matters.

But here’s the flip side: if you stand for what you believe in, the people who believe the same thing won’t just like you—they will respect you. They’ll go to bat for you. They’ll defend you like they know you personally.

Once I realized this, I stopped trying to be everyone’s cup of tea. I started speaking with real conviction. My messages got bolder. My mindset shifted to: If you don’t like it, sorry, it’s not for you. It’s for the others.

And crazy enough, that’s when my content actually started working.

I’ll give you a real example from my own journey.

I posted a video of me playing a game where I reached a high rank. But the video wasn’t just gameplay—it was me proving a point. I basically told everyone, “You can reach this level on a regular laptop. You don’t need a fancy, expensive gaming setup.”

(For the non-gamers out there, think of it like a photographer telling people you don’t need a $5,000 camera to take award-winning photos, or a gym rat saying you don’t need $200 shoes to run a marathon. It’s saying skill > gear).

Man, the reaction was instant.

People who believed in skill over money started supporting me hard. The ones who had already spent a fortune on fancy gear? They got defensive and started fighting me in the comments, saying I was wrong. Then you had the people in the middle just watching the show.

It was chaotic, but the result was undeniable.

I had way less than 250 followers before that video. After? I gained over 60 new followers, 300k+ views, and over 11,000 likes. And it’s still growing.

But the numbers aren’t even the best part. The best part is that my audience didn’t just get bigger—it got deeper.

People started sharing my stuff without me asking. They were repeating my lines in the comments. People started reaching out to me for advice, opinions and even help them get better at gaming. They weren’t just watching; they were believing

Look, I know most people are afraid to do this. It’s scary. It’s not fun knowing some people won’t like you. But you can’t please everybody.

And you aren’t here to please everybody. You are here for the people like you. The ones who care about what you believe in.

So if you’re building a personal brand, a business, or whatever—the simplest way to find your super fans is this:

Pick a stance.
Say it clearly.
Live it loudly.

The moment you stop hiding what you truly stand for, your super fans will finally be able to find you.
